A Better Sponsor for Swindon Town Football Club

Better Leisure Centres in Swindon have today announced a new partnership with Swindon Town football club. The deal will see the leisure operator sponsor the iconic Town End at The County Ground - ‘The Better Town End.’

The partnership will also see Better become the main sponsor for Swindon Town’s Junior Reds, the club’s junior members, along with its Pro Red scheme. Better will also sponsor Chris Neville, Swindon Town’s Head of Performance Coach.

Rhys Jones, Partnership manager for Better Leisure Centres in Swindon said:  “We are delighted to be supporting Swindon Town through this new sponsorship.  Both organisations have many shared values: a community focus, a love of sport and a real commitment to promoting the health and psychological benefits that regular physical activity can offer.

“The club’s players are real sporting role models locally and we look forward to developing our relationship and perhaps nurturing the town’s next generation of footballing talent within the leisure centres we operate.”

“Although the partnership is still in its relative infancy, we have already made good ground when using club channels to promote Better and their array of Leisure Centres.  Recently our Head of Performance, Chris Neville visited the vastly improved Better Link Centre to take part in a live prize draw on Facebook.  This is one example of which there will be many where we continue to endorse the partnership.

“We will now engage further to discuss a number of ideas; with the main aim to increase memberships for both the Club in respect of our Junior Red Scheme, and to also increase footfall and membership across the Leisure Centres (including the promotion of their fantastic Trampoline Park).  We certainly hope that many of our supporters will be attracted to Better and all their fantastic new facilities.

The sponsorship deal will run for the 2017/18 season, with the option to extend. Better is a not for profit social enterprise and the Leisure Centres in Swindon comprise of: Croft Sports Centre, Delta Tennis Centre, Dorcan Recreation Complex, Haydon Centre, Health Hydro, The Link Centre, Oasis Leisure Centre.
