Adam Ellis finishes as runner-up in British Under-21 final
Swindon Robins rider Adam Ellis finished in the runner-up spot at the British Under-21 final at Poole on Wednesday.
Ellis dropped just one point from his five programmed rides, before again being beaten by King's Lynn's Robert Lambert in the Grand Final.
Ellis said:: "Of course I'm a bit disappointed because this was my last shot at this specific title.
"But I have to look at the positives and the only rider who beat me was Robert Lambert who was really fast all night.
"It's yet another rostrum place in this big meeting for me as well and now I need to build on this to go into the rest of the league season."
Robins teammate Zach Wajtknecht also put in a creditable showing after finishing on seven points - just two shy of a semi-final spot.
Swindon travel to Poole in the Premiership on Monday (6pm) and are next in top tier action at The Abbey Stadium on Thursday, May 18 when King's Lynn come to town.
