Conor Masterson joins on short-term deal

SWINDON TOWN have signed QPR defender Conor Masterson on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season as Town manager John Sheridan looks to take his side out of the League One relegation zone.

At 22-years-old Conor Masterson is another youthful signing to arrive at the Country Ground this month after Dominic Thompson, Mark Travers, and Ciaron Freeman all signed deals at SN1.

Masterson is Irish born and currently holds a contract at Championship side QPR after being released by Liverpool at the end of the 18/19 season.

He made 12 league appearances in the second division for QPR last season, scoring a solitary league goal but has yet to feature under manager Mark Warburton this season.

Masterson has represented the Republic Of Ireland at U17, 19, and 21 levels but is still waiting for a first-team call up.

He will begin training with Swindon Town this week however it is yet to be seen if he will be available for selection away to Charlton Athletic this weekend.
