Flitcroft said in his pre-Crawley press briefing on Thursday that he intends to bring a right-sided player to the club, although no name has been mentioned by the Town boss.
He did state, however, that if the said player does not sign on the dotted line by Thursday's 11pm transfer deadline then that would not be a problem as he is happy with his squad as it stands.
Following the weekend's hammering, Flitcroft insisted that no drastic changes are needed in the market as a result of the surprise defeat to then-bottom-of-the-table Crawley.
"No" was the reply from Flitcroft when asked if he wanted any more than one player post-Crawley.
""It's still the same focus, same programme and we will go with this group and we will lead with this group and drive and motivate this group to be succesful this season."
Although both Flitcroft and Town have just four more days to complete the deal, no progress has been made yet.
"Not really. We've got options but the players we're looking at, or the clubs, are in the hat. We're looking at the players we've identified and other teams are looking at them.
"That's just the game we're in. We've got quite a few options."
