The Robins now have four pre-season games under their belt, but after winning their first two by a big margin on both occasions, they have only managed to draw the second two.
Town thrashed Swindon Supermarine 7-1 before a second comfortable win, 5-0, over Melksham Town but have had more difficult matches recently as they drew 1-1 with Oldham behind closed doors, followed by a second 1-1 draw, against Salisbury, on Monday.
Post-Supermarine and Melksham, Flitcroft said that the level of opposition were not of a high enough standard to judge players, specifically trialists, on however he is not of the opinion that he learned anything different than what he does anyway in the draws against better opponents.
When asked if he learned more from the draws to the wins, boss Flitcroft responded: "No. I'm learning every day about this squad, this group of players (and) the trialists.
"Again, there's so much going on. While we're trying to do this, we also tried to bring players in this afternoon to do a training session.
"We've been over to meet an agent and a player, so there is so much going on and I'm learning all the time about every aspect of the club, every aspect of my squad - individuals, teams, units.
"There is a hell of a lot going on at the minute that's work we've got to get through. We're doing it, and it's only hard work and that's what we're trying to get through."
Flitcroft and the squad are currently in Portugal on a training camp. They are trying to arrange matches over there and, at the time of writing, are awaiting confirmation from a team via email.
Swindon's next confirmed friendly back in England is a trip to Woking on July 29.
