David Flitcroft "speaks most days" with chairman Lee Power on improving Swindon Town squad
Swindon Town boss David Flitcroft says he is in regular discussion with chairman Lee Power on how to improve his squad.
Town have signed 11 new players this summer and, after three league matches, sit top of the League Two table on seven points, but Flitcroft is still after more additions.
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Thursday, August 31 and Flitcroft is still exploring the option of recruiting further names, with his squad size currently at 22.
Youngster Jake Evans was loaned out to Farnborough FC for a month yesterday.
After Saturday's 1-0 win at Morecambe, which saw Donal McDermott net his first goal for the club, Flitcroft said: "Me and the chairman speak most days on improving the squad and looking at the squad balance and we'll continue to do that.
"It's something we've done ok with up to now and if there is anyone out there we feel will make the squad better we will have an opportunity to bring them in."
One player that could make his way to County Ground in the near future is Northampton Town winger Matty Taylor.
Total Sport have been told that Swindon are favourites for his signature.
Taylor was left out of Northampton's squad in their 4-1 defeat at Charlton due to "situations behind the scenes".
He can play as a left-back and as a left winger.
