Recently appointed Swindon Robins captain Jason Doyle cannot wait to lead Alun Rossiter's speedway side in the coming campaign, and has admitted the high Aussie chemistry in the camp only bodes well for potential big achievements.
Grand Prix star Doyle, back at the Abbey for as second spell with the club, has been handed the captaincy after discussions with boss Alun Rossiter.
And he says team spirit will be a major plus when they come to the tapes for the launch of their Elite League campaign.
Said Doyle: "I'm honoured to lead the side and was thrilled to be asked.
"We have a good looking side with bags of potential to improve as the season progresses and hopefully we will be in and around the play-offs come the business end of the season.
"Having so many Australians in the team will make my job easy as we all bounce off each other anyway and we will spur each other on in the pits.
"I'm sure the track walks before each meeting will also be fun as we all know each other that well and the atmosphere will be great," Doyle added.
