Former Swindon Town boss reportedly in line for Cheltenham Town job
Former Swindon Town manager Michael Flynn could reportedly be in line to land another job in League Two.
The ex-Newport County and Walsall boss is set to interview for the vacant Cheltenham Town job, and is a leading contender according to Gloucestershire Live.
Cheltenham are on the lookout for a new boss after Darrell Clarke quit to become the new head coach at Barnsley earlier this month.
Flynn was sacked by Swindon back in January, with the club 15th in League Two. They had been on a dismal run of form, with six defeats in eight league games.
He took charge of the club in May 2023, presiding over 33 games, winning nine, drawing seven and losing 17 times.
Town went on to finish 19th in the table under interim boss Gavin Gunning and are yet to announce a new head coach ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
They are also yet to sign any first-team players, having released 11 in total this summer.
The club did however announce four pre-season friendlies on the road as they build their pre-season plans.
The Robins will visit Swindon Supermarine on Saturday, July 6 (2pm) before making the trip to Hungerford Town on Tuesday, July 9 (7pm).
An away game at Melksham Town then follows on Tuesday, July 16 (7.30pm) before a Swindon Town XI will visit Highworth Town on Saturday, July 20 (2pm).
