Gladwin's parent club Queens Park Rangers had been looking into the possibility of sending the 23-year-old back out into the football league to gain further all-important playing time.
Already during the current campaign Gladwin has made 13 appearances for the Robins and scoring twice along the way; including a stunning effort against Coventry City.
Recent pictures have been circulating on social media site Twitter, appearing to show Gladwin holding aloft the Bristol City shirt after signing on the dotted line for a loan agreement.

This was soon confirmed by the club themselves, with City confirming they had secured the 93-day loan signing of the QPR midfielder.
With Gladwin's spell in Bristol officially beginning as from Friday, the box-to-box midfielder is eligible to play for Bristol during this Saturday's Championship away game against Leeds United.
Gladwin's move to a fellow Championship club enables him to pit his abilities in a league of a greater status, to prove to his parent club his capabilities of performing at a higher level.
