Highlights: Swindon Town 4 Colchester 1

The Robins were in a rampant mood on Saturday, as they took to Colchester with menacing intent. A brace from both Nicky Ajose and Michael Doughty saw Luke Williams' side coast to a convincing victory over the U's.

Town were without injured duo Yaser Kasim and Brandon Ormonde-Ottewillle, but were determined to put in a solid 90 minutes after failing to pick up a win in their last four games.

Ajose's first strike was the only thing separating the two teams going into the half time interval, but the Robins would soon build upon this authority.

The second half quickly saw Ajose add a second after being picked out by Jordan Turnbull from the byline. Doughty would soon get in on the action, turning with his back to goal before smashing a 25-yard effort into the bottom corner of the U's goal.

Doughty's second of the day was of a similar ilk, holding off his marker before guiding the ball again into the corner of the goal, a generous deflection from the goalkeeper helping it along its way.
