Despite marching into the third and final period with a healthy 7-1 lead, Swindon Wildcats would go on to concede seven and score only one of their own in the final 30 minutes, taking the tie through to overtime.
Shell-shocked and delirious, Wildcats managed to make it through overtime unscathed and were able to steady themselves just enough to defeat the visitors following penalty shots.
To top the lot, the fixture even had a bit of hands throwing action, as forward Adam Harding got involved in an altercation with his Bracknell counterpart.
