Holloway saw 'passion' in Swindon Town display, despite defeat at Bradford
Manager Ian Holloway believes Swindon Town put in a “performance of passion” despite being narrowly beaten by Bradford City.
The Robins slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Valley Parade, due to Calum Kavanagh's first-half strike.
After seeing his initial effort saved by Town keeper Dan Barden, the Bradford forward was alert to turn home the rebound and give his side all three points.
Defeat left Holloway’s side 22nd in League two, with 16 points from 20 games played – but the manager was not downbeat by his team’s display.
“I am not expecting a free-flowing beautiful performance up here,” he said.
“We came here and fought equally with them and they didn't create too much but they went home with all three points because they followed up a loose ball.
"Is that a performance of passion? Yes it is. Was that as good as we want? Not really but we are working at it.
"For me there were shoots of things that are making us harder to beat.
"The energy was exactly what I want but I would like more in the final third.”
Next up for Town is a home clash against Grimsby on Saturday, December 21 (3pm).
