Holloway insists Cheltenham draw was 'two points dropped' for Swindon Town
Disappointed Ian Holloway felt it was “two points dropped” despite Swindon Town’s late rally to earn a 3-3 draw against Cheltenham.
Jordan Thomas’s early goal put the visitors ahead at the Nigel Eady County Ground before Will Wright levelled.
Timothee Dieng then put the away side back in front and Wright put the ball in his own net to make it 3-1 to Cheltenham on 54 minutes.
But after Cheltenham saw Tom Bradbury sent off for a second bookable offence, Kabongo Tshimanga pulled a goal back for Swindon from the penalty spot.
Ollie Clarke then found a leveller for Town two minutes from time, but Holloway was still not impressed by what he saw.
“I am bitterly disappointed,” said the manager.
"I am up in the stands where you are out of the way of it all and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"For a long time I have said how great we were and how well we played, but this was not good enough.
"In the end we took control of the game and we could have won it, but you can't let goals like that in."
The draw left Swindon 15th in the division, three points behind Cheltenham.
Holloway added: "How we have let them score three goals with the amount of the ball that they had is not good enough for me. I have said it to the team that that is how I feel.
"Maybe it is because I was higher up and I could see it differently, I am not sure.
"You could say that we came back into it - I am expecting us to do that now!
"You can't expect to have to score four goals to win a game at home, so that is two points dropped in my view."
Next up for Swindon is a home game against Accrington on Saturday (3pm).
