Point taken a 'massive positive' says boss Holloway
Swindon Town boss Ian Holloway insisted a point against high-flying Crewe Alexandra was a “massive positive”.
The Robins played out a goalless draw against the second-placed Alex at the Nigel Eady County Ground, in a contest which was delayed for 56 minutes due to heavy fog.
The closest Town came to breaking the deadlock was when Ollie Clarke hit the post.
Holloway said: “What a game, they looked like they wanted to win and we looked like we wanted to win as well.
"Personally, I think that we probably had the better chances but I am just delighted with the lads.
"That is the first clean sheet that I have gotten since I have been here and I think that we thoroughly deserved it as we had to make some blocks.
"It was exciting and I thought we played really well, we looked solid and in the second half, the longer the game went on, the more we grew, and the more we looked like one of the subs might come on and make a difference.
"If you think about where they are in the table and where we are then that is a massive positive."
The point moved Swindon to 20th in the League Two table, five points above the relegation places.
Next up for Holloway’s men is a home clash with Birmingham City in the EFL Trophy third round on Tuesday (7.30pm).
