Holloway: That dressing room is starting to feel like I want it to feel like
Boss Ian Holloway watched Swindon Town progress to the last 16 of the EFL Trophy before claiming: “That dressing room is starting to feel like I want it to.”
Holloway’s side sealed a 2-1 victory at Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday, despite playing 45 minutes with 10 men.
Billy Kirkman struck within five minutes of his competitive debut for the Robins, before Rosaire Longelo was sent off following a late challenge.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Kabongo Tshimanga made it two for the visitors on 68 minutes.
Beryly Lubala pulled a goal back late on for Wycombe, but Town progressed to the last 16 of the cup competition.
Holloway said: "It was fantastic stuff and I am delighted for the boys, gutted that we got someone sent off, and terrified that we were having to hold on.
"They did everything that they could to try and disrupt us, their levels are quite unbelievable and you can see why they are where they are because they caused us all sorts of problems.
"But we stood up to it and (Dan) Barden made a great save and I am delighted because that dressing room is starting to feel like I want it to feel like.
"Last week I apologised to the fans but this week I thank you for your wonderful support and I hope that you are as proud of the lads as I am."
Town make the trip to Bradford City in League Two on Saturday (3pm).
