Holloway believes Swindon Town are 'on it' when looking at January deals
Swindon Town manager Ian Holloway insisted the club were working hard behind the scenes to strengthen their squad in January.
The Robins are currently 22nd in the League Two table. Two points clear of the drop zone out of the Football League.
Holloway is set to lead on recruitment during the upcoming window following the departure of head of football Jamie Russell last month.
Speaking about making changes in January, Holloway said: “We have already started and they are talking as we speak. We are trying to do deals and talk to people who I have targeted already who I would love to get.
“That is the difficulty because trying to get them in this window is not easy but we will endeavour to get things done.
“I believe that I know what I want and the people who are being tasked with doing it day in, day out are on it.
“You have no idea where that is going to go yet because you don’t know who is available but I have identified the certain things and they know what that is.
“That is going on as we speak, all around the world and all around the country. Can we find someone who has these particular attributes that I believe the group need to make the cake look and taste an awful lot better?”
Next up for Town is a home game against Grimsby on Saturday (3pm).
