Holloway's pride as Swindon Town see off Barrow
Manager Ian Holloway admitted his pride at how Swindon Town have picked themselves up off the canvas after another big victory at the bottom of League Two.
Goals from Nnamdi Ofoborh and Harry Smith earned Town a 2-0 triumph over Barrow, putting them eight points clear of the relegation places.
Town have now lost just once in seven league fixtures, and Holloway was keen to praise the response of his charges in recent weeks.
Speaking post-match, he said: "A few weeks ago we had that weakness where anything in the air against our backline and we were in trouble but the same boys have gone on and smashed it today.
"I am so proud of them and that is what I have told them as it takes an awful lot to become a team member with a group of people and to keep going in tough circumstances.
"We were at the bottom, losing to Morecambe at home and Carlisle earlier in the season.
"A lot of people would have folded, well this group hasn't and I am delighted for them and I am delighted about our fans' support, so hopefully we can all feel a bit better about ourselves."
Victory took Swindon level on points with Barrow in the table, moving up to 18th in the league standings.
"I thought that the lads, from the start to the end of the game, showed great desire, great work ethic, and great team spirit,” said the manager.
"We needed it all in a very ugly game, we have played better than that but I have asked them to change shape three times because of what they did and it was seamless.”
Next up for Town is a trip to Newport County on Friday (7.45pm).
Meanwhile, Swindon Town confirmed Rosaire Longelo has left to join Salford City.
