How to get the Spring back in your Swing

Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes all the new expectations for our golf. We get excited when we see the Masters on the telly, because the deep greens, fast putts and beautifully observed etiquette that it represents, reminds us of the golf that we want to play.

Many golfers don’t play as much during the winter, due to the cold, wet, extra layers and limiting daylight hours. The problem that they then have come the warmer weather, is that it can take a few weeks to get back into the ‘swing’ of things. So if it is the Masters that triggers your season off, then your golf may not be up to ‘par’ until early June! That is a lot of the season to waste.

So, here is my suggestion. Why not start to get back into golf now? Basset Down is in excellent shape, even after the wet February we had. The fairways are firm, and the greens are still taking the ball very well.

Myself and Ian Bolt are both fully qualified PGA professionals and are ready to give you a swing MOT, one off lesson or maybe a series to move you forward in 2015. Our 20 bay driving range is also waiting for you to come and practice what you have learnt, or to help you to get back into the rhythm of your golf swing.

All in all, everything you need to get a flying start to your golfing year is here and available at Basset Down. We look forward to seeing you soon!
