International Call For Wildcats' Malasinski

Swindon Wildcats will be without star import Tomasz Malasinski for three fixtures during a busy February, after the Cats number 89 received the nod from the Poland international hockey set up.

Malasinski will join the 34-man Polish squad to contend for a place in the Olympic qualification fixtures, along with the upcoming World Championships Division campaign in April.

Aaron Nell's Wildcats side with be without their star forward for clashes against Basingstoke Bison - both home and away - and Milton Keynes Lightning, in what is an action packed February for the Swindon side.

Malasinski has been involved with the national set up since 2003, when he feautured in the U18 selection process. He has donned the Poland colours almost every single thereafter and scooped a World Championship gold medal during the 2013/14 campaign.

The forward also leads the EPL by example this season, having accumilated 59 points so far - 31 assists and the tidy sum of 28 goals - with two months of the campaign still left to play.

Malasinski has now linked up with the Poland camp to join in with the preparations, and will learn if he has successfully made the Olympic qualifications and World Championships squad in due course.
