Doyle Delighted To Be Back In Robins' Colours

AUSSIE ace Jason Doyle has spoken of his delight after completing a return to Swindon for the 2016 season. The rider, who boss Alun Rossiter has referred to as 'one of the best in the league', returns to the club he won the Elite League title with three years ago.

The 30-year-old was an Elite League winner with the Robins in 2012 but has spent the last two seasons with Leicester.

Since leaving the Abbey he has gone on to become a Grand Prix star, achieving an impressive fifth place finish in his maiden World Championship campaign in 2015, whilst establishing himself as one of the Elite League’s top riders.

He will now make the switch back to Wiltshire to lead Alun Rossiter’s side from the No.1 position as they eye Elite League glory.

Doyle is thrilled to be back in Robins colours – and he is now looking to make 2016 another year to remember.

“It’s really good to be back,” Doyle said, “Being back at Swindon has worked out well and I’m looking forward to it.

“It took a while to finalise things but we got everything sorted eventually and I’m pleased we managed to get the deal done.

“I’ve had some great times at Swindon in the past and winning the Elite League in 2012 was an awesome moment.

“I’m looking forward to being back as No.1 and hopefully I can have another good season to help the club do well.

“I probably need to thank Leicester for putting me at No.1 and having that confidence in me when they signed me a couple of years ago.

“That’s made me a better rider, I feel like I’ve come on a lot the last couple of years and I’m just looking to keep that going with Swindon next season.”
