Kennedy wants more creativity, but takes positives from Crewe stalemate
Swindon Town boss Mark Kennedy took the positives from his team’s 0-0 draw at Crewe but admitted: “I would like us to be more creative.”
The stalemate at Alexandra Stadium meant Town have picked up two points from their opening three League Two games.
And while Kennedy is still searching for his first competitive victory since taking over in the summer, he was still upbeat by his team’s display.
Reflecting on the contest, the Dubliner said: "It is a point away from home and a clean sheet, which is a positive on the whole especially after last week.
"I felt that we had the chances to win the game but it is not like we popped them off the park, I don't think anyone will come out of it furious not to have won the game.
"We had ten corners and multiple final third actions and on another day it could have been different and we could have scored a couple of goals.
"From that point of view there are lots of positives but I would like us to be more creative and unlock more doors in the final third.”
Town sit 21st in the division after three games, while the point for Crewe was their first of the campaign.
Swindon’s next test comes at home against Notts County on Saturday (3pm).
