Kennedy keeping calm as wait for first win continues
Swindon Town boss Mark Kennedy was keen to keep positive despite still waiting for his first competitive win in charge.
A changed-up Town side were beaten 2-1 at Exeter City in the Football League Trophy on Tuesday, meaning Dubliner Kennedy is yet to win a game in six attempts since taking over as head coach in the summer.
Joel Cotterill’s second-half strike proved not enough against the Grecians, but the Town boss was keen to keep his cool in search for victory.
Speaking post-match, he said: "Nothing but positivity is going through my mind right now, I thought we were excellent and I thought that we played really good football against a very good side.
"I thought that we had really good moments through the game and our football really complimented that and result aside, I had nothing but positives to come out of tonight, I am really pleased with where we are at.
"There are absolutely no (nerves about getting the first win), I am intelligent enough to recognise the opposition that we are playing against and the fine margins.
"The goal that won the game tonight was another wonder strike, so, no, there are no nerves."
Swindon Town’s next test comes at Barrow in League Two on Saturday (3pm).
