Lawrence Vigouroux tells Chilean news outlet he wants to leave Swindon Town in January
Swindon Town goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux has told a Chilean news outlet that he wants to leave the club, preferably in January.
Vigouroux, who was born in London but considers himself Chilean, told El Deportivo that he is unhappy with the way David Flitcroft instructs the team to play.
This comes two days after boss Flitcroft told the BBC that Vigouroux and James Brophy went out in town after the 1-0 win over Notts County on December 30.
The goalkeeper said: "It's not ready yet, but I hope it's this month. The [manager] does not like my style of play, he does not like [goalkeepers] who play with their feet. Now, [the] football is long and bad."
Vigouroux also gave his version of the events Flitcroft alluded to on December 30, insisting that that he and Brophy were not the only two that were out that night.
"Together, with eight players, we were at a meal.
"A fan took a picture in which we appeared with a beer and sent it to the coach. [There was eight of us], but only two [were punished] and [Flitcroft] sent us to train with [the under-18s].
"It's very curious. The other six are new players, he bought them. The other two, we are old players in the club."
Vigouroux also said he is wanted by clubs in Belgium, Holland, Portugal, England and Chile, but did not say who those clubs are.
"I have offers. There are options in Belgium, Holland, Portugal and some teams in England. From Chile, I was also called by a First Division team. In about two weeks I will have clarity about my future. I want to resolve it calmly."
The goalkeeper's contract at Swindon is due to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Vigouroux retweeted the article posted by the Chilean news outlet but swiftly deleted it.
Total Sport contacted Swindon Town for comment on the story.
