Camp has enjoyed a professional career spanning over nearly 20 years during which time he has featured between the sticks for a host of clubs, including the likes of Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers, and Norwich City for whom he made three appearances in the Premier League.
Swindon have been looking for a permanent goalkeeper since the loan re-call of Matej Kovar to Manchester United in January with both Joe Wollacott and Connal Trueman making appearances for the club since then.
Camp is expected to make his first appearance for Swindon Town tomorrow as John Sheridan’s side welcome Gillingham to the County Ground.
Speaking to the official club website, Camp said:
“I’m excited to be here, I’ve been looking for an opportunity to get back in the game.
Thankfully this has come up at the right time, hopefully I can make an impact at the Club and play a part of us staying in the division.
The challenge, the position the Club is in, hopefully this works both ways; it gives me an opportunity to get back in the game and also helps the team out at the same time.”
