Swindon have not recorded back-to-back wins all season, largely because they have struggled away from home.
A 2-1 win over promotion-challenging Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium last weekend seemed to boost morale at SN1, but even so Swindon fell to a 1-0 defeat against Peterborough this Saturday.
At full-time, head coach Luke Williams said everyone connected to the Wiltshire-based outfit are still doing their utmost to find the winning formula to get a much-needed run of positive results going.
Williams began his post-match press conference by saying he felt, up until the goal a minute after half-time, that Swindon edged the contest.
"It felt like we started the game well and we looked the most likely (to score), I felt," he said.
"It looked like (after) the restart we were still in the changing rooms. (We) were slow and (there) was too many mistakes and then once you're chasing the game it's very difficult and the opposition have got something to hang onto and they caused us more problems hanging onto a lead than they did (at) 0-0.
"I don't know what to expect because we go to Bolton 1-0 down and at the end it looks like we're going to score every time we go forward, then, against a team that are good (but) I don't think are as good as the Bolton side, I didn't feel like there was going to be a breakthrough today.
"We will never stop trying and the players will never stop trying. They're not sitting (in the changing room) thinking everything's rosy, they're very disappointed - gutted - and they're looking at themselves as well wondering why they can't reproduce and so are the staff. We are all searching for the answers."
On multiple occasions this campaign, Swindon have been exposed by sides that have been happy to defend against the Robins before punishing the hosts on the counter and Williams went on to say that his squad need to learn how to "combat" this style of play.
"We've played against teams that want to come and press us high up the pitch and we've played against teams that sit in. Either way we seem to be able to beat them and then get beat by them - it's not enough.
"We need to work out how to combat the opposition, whether they sit deep or whether they come and press us and find a way to win more games than we do at the moment."
