Malasinski bags international hat-trick as Poland sink Slovenia

There was not a case of end of season rustiness for Wildcats' star import forward Tomasz Malasinski, who picked up where he left off with his scintillating domestic form and plundered a hat-trick of finishes for his home nation Poland, while on international duty this week.

Finishing last season with 40 goals and 46 assists for 86 points in 51 games for the Cats, Malasinski has not been short of confidence going into the international campaign.

His Poland side found themselves up against a strong Slovenian outfit in the World Championships, and were desperately in search of a win following a rough start to the competition.

The two sides exchanged blows as each tussled for dominance in the tie, but it was the Swindon fans' favourite Malasinski who would have the deciding say.
