MATCH REPORT: Swindon Supermarine 0-1 Paulton Rovers

Swindon Supermarine's play-off ambitions took a dent on Saturday, as they were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline at Webb's Wood Stadium.

Marine dropped to seventh in the table and now find themselves six points behind the chasing pack with five games, and 15 points, to play for.

To add insult to injury, fifth and sixth-placed Salisbury and Mangotsfield Town respectively both have a game in hand over Supermarine.

Only one goal was needed to get Paulton the win at the weekend and, unfortunately for Supermarine, a Paulton player did not need to score it, either.

With ten minutes of the match still to go Ash Taylor inadvertantly turned the ball into his own net to give the visitors, who look destined for a consolidation place in the table, the win.

Arguably, Swindon were always set for a tough afternoon as soon as Callum Parsons was shown a straight

Supermarine did manage to fashion chances of their own, but they were always up against it when down to ten men and Paulton did just about enough to secure the win.
