The draw has all-but ended Marine's hopes of getting a play-off place this season, as they are now seven points fifth-placed Evesham with three games of the season remaining.
With all 11 men on the pitch, Tiverton raced into a 2-0 lead with early goals coming from Levi Landricombe and Owen Howe.
Goals from Jon Shepherd and Ryan Morgan got Marine the draw but this will definitely seen as two points dropped rather than a point gained.
It could have been even worse for Marine though as they found themselves 2-0 down in the opening 10 minutes.
Landricombe beat the offside trap with six minutes played and he slotted past Connor Johns to make it 1-0 to the visitors.
Four minutes later the referee pointed to the spot for a Tiverton penalty when Johns brought down Landricombe. Owen Howe kept his cool to double the score.
In the 22nd minute though Howe lost all his cool as he was sent off for an apparent stamp, which gave Marine a route back into the game.
They duly made the most of it, as five minutes later the score stood at 2-1 after Josh Parsons and Shepherd combined and the latter scored to get Marine one goal away from levelling the score.
Five minutes into the second half Jamie Price of Tiverton was given his marching orders for a second bookable offense and Marine had 40 minutes against nine men.
They could only manage one more goal though, in the 80th minute, when Morgan slid in the leveller.
