MATCH REPORT: Telford Tigers 8-3 Swindon Wildcats

The Telford Tigers terrorised the Swindon Wildcats on Sunday as the latter's three-match win streak came to an end.

Telford had the lead as early as 2:47 through Doug Clarkson who was assisted by Matty Davies.

Sam Zajac doubled the tally of Telford at 7:28 and, from an early point, it looked like it was going to be an awful night for the Wildcats but they did have a bit of fight in them temporarily.

Just 40 seconds into the second period Tomasz Malasinski netted after being assisted by Max Birbraer.

Malasinski got his and Swindon's second at 36:10 with Jonas Hoog and Lee Richardson.

The Tigers showed their stripes again at 36:43 though when Lubomir Korhan restored Telford's advantage and not long later they were two goals to the good for the second time.

At 39:02 Jason Silverthorn scored to make it 4-2 with Rick Plant and Milan Kolena both notching their first assists of the contest.

Neil Liddiard got Swindon back in the game for one last time at 45:40 with his goal that made it 4-3 but Telford then really did pull away with four goals.

Clarkson scored at 48:19 to make it 5-3 with Kolena getting credited with the assist before Davies got number two for him and six for Telford at 50:36.

As Swindon pushed for some personal pride, they lost more with Silverthorn scoring an empty-net goal at 57:47 before Clarkson finished the whitewash at 58:59 to complete his hat-trick and the scoring.
