It's almost time for kick-off at the County Ground, the players are out.
Can Swindon secure the three points needed to stay top of the table?
The one to watch for Swindon today will be Charles Vernam who has sparked his season into life in recent weeks.
Under previous manager Michael Jolley, the 23-year-old was loaned out to Chorley, but has proved to be an integral member of this Grimsby side.
Four goals in as many games has seen Vernam cement his spot as a first-team regular - with an impressive hat-trick in the win at Colchester highlighting the talent Vernam has.
Following the 1-0 win at Northampton last time out, Swindon should be confident of securing a win here, but they do face a Grimsby side that have found for under Ian Holloway.
An impressive 3-2 win at Colchester United was followed up by a 2-1 win against Morecambe which extends the Mariners unbeaten run to five games as they pull away from the relegation dogfight.
Speaking ahead of today's game, Swindon Town team manager Richie Wellens insisted that his players cant be complacent as they head into today's match against a Grimsby side unbeaten in their last five fixtures.
Wellens said:
“There’s 13 games left and we just need to continue as we are,” said Wellens.
“Our points return since the turn of the New Year has been good so we just need to not get ahead of ourselves.
“It’s far too early to be looking at other people’s results,
“I always think once you get the Easter weekend out the way then the run-in really starts and pressure starts to mount for teams,” he said.
“It’s not very good in terms of the bottom team’s because only one side goes down which is a bit of a farce.
“It means an extra two or three teams aren’t playing for anything and it should’ve been sorted out.
“The run-in for the relegation teams will be a lot shorter so that definitely impacts the table.
“I would imagine that the top three spots will go down to the wire,” added Wellens.
Grimsby on the other hand keep the same starting line-up from their 2-1 victory over Morecambe.
Grimsby Town XI: McKeown, Hendrie, Waterfall, Hanson, Whitehouse, Grandin, Clarke, Vernam, Benson, Pollock, Driscoll-Glennon
Swindon Town manager makes just one change from the one-nil away win against Norhtampton Town in their last outing.
Hallam Hope drops to the bench whilst Jerry Yates is brought into the Starting XI. Keshi Anderson was deemed fit by Wellens yesterday but fails to make the squad.
SWINDON XI: Benda, Hunt, Fryers, Edmonds-Green, Caddis, Grant, Doughty, Isgrove, Jaiyesimi, Doyle, Yates.
