Morris Adds To Swindon Robins' Aussie Contingent
Nick Morris has become the latest addition to Alun Rossiter's line-up, as the shake up continues over in the Robins camp. The Swindon outfit now have a very Aussie feel, as Morris stands as the fourth man from down under.
Morris arrives back with Swindon for a fifth successive season in 2016, following an encouraging 2015 in which he elevated his status as an Elite League rider.
The popular youngster has made tremendous progress with the Robins in recent years, culminating in him making his breakthrough in a heat-leader role during the previous campaign.
As a result, he has been rewarded for his fine performances with a place in Alun Rossiter’s new-look side aiming to mount another Elite League title challenge.
Morris, 21, joins fellow countrymen Jason Doyle, Josh Grajczonek and Justin Sedgmen as the fourth member of the main body of the team alongside reserve duo Charles Wright and Stefan Nielsen.
The talented racer is delighted to be back at his spiritual home for another season as his career continues to go from strength to strength.
With a strong Aussie flavour to their line-up, Morris is relishing the chance to battle for Elite League top honours when the season gets underway.
“I’m happy to be back,” Morris said. “Swindon is pretty much my home now after riding there the last few years, and they have always looked after me there.
“It’s going to be awesome to ride with all the Aussies we’ve got in the team and to fight for the title again in 2016.”
