Movember Themed Evening For Wildcats' Telford Clash
Swindon Wildcats host last season's champions Telford Tigers on Saturday, in a match which see's the club host their official Movember fundraising event.
Tigers are the visitors for the 5:45pm face-off tie, and will come up against several facial hair clad hockey players within the Wildcats' ranks, each doing their bit to help promote the Movember movement.
As with 2014, forward Adam Harding has been leading this year’s Wildcats efforts and has been joined by Jordan Hedley,Stevie Whitfield, Sam Bullas, Cory McEwen and Carlo Finucci – all of whom are competing to have the most amount of facial hair by the end of November.
The club are looking to complete the month long Movember movement on a high and are hoping as many fans as possible will donate to the team in their bid to help raise awareness of Men’s Health.
“We’ve got more of the boys involved this season so we hope Wildcats fans will help us to beat last season’s total,” said Adam Harding.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has already made a donation – especially Paul Norbury from Cardwave who has made an amazing donation of £100!
“We know not everybody can spare as much, especially at this time of year, so we’re really thankful to everyone who donates – no matter how small as it all gets added to the total and helps the many areas that Movember focus on helping," Harding added.
Wildcats will have collectors present at Saturday's game and there will be a special prize on offer for the supporter with the Best 'Mo' - who will then be invited on to the ice at the end of the game to have their picture taken with the whole team by Cats photographer, Nicky Pearce.
So, if you’ve grown a real Mo, bought a fake one or just going to go for a home-made option – wear your Mo with pride to Saturday’s Telford Tigers game and you could be the winner of a great prize.
To help celebrate the occasion, Wildcats also have an exclusive Movember poster, or 'Moster', in 'each game day magazine featuring the guys involved. All of the players involved will be on the first floor concourse after the game, signing 'mostars' or stopping for moustache'd selfies with any fans who want in on the action.
