0700 392 1235A cup-tie that promised so much competition failed to live up to expectations as the Swindon Robins made light work of their opposition. However when questioned on whether it was an easy night for his side, Musielak insisted speedway is always difficult.
“When it looks easy, it’s not,” said Musielak.
“Speedway is never easy and when out on track it is always tough racing.
“Riders such as Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls are always tough to race.
“But it was a good win, we are twenty-eight points ahead and it was a very good result for us,” he said.
With an away leg still to come on Wednesday the job is only half done for Musielak and his teammates. However the Polish racer admits a big home win takes pressure off the side ahead of the second leg.
“The big victory tonight takes a bit of pressure off of us going into Wednesday’s second leg,” said Musielak.
“But we must stay focused, do our jobs and we should be ok.
“We remember losing the league final here last year against Wolverhampton and then going and winning the title away at their stadium.
“That shows a team can overturn a big score,” he added.
Dropping only one point throughout the evening highlights the quality of rider that the 24-year-old is quickly becoming. And after a difficult weekend of racing in Poland, Musielak admitted it was good to be scoring big points for Swindon.
“It always helps me to score good points especially after I had a bad meeting in Poland at the weekend,” stated Musielak.
“Poland is very hard racing and I scored five points over there in my last meeting.
“I always want to score more, more, and more so it’s good to get back to some form.
“Hopefully I can stay this way and everything will be ok at Rye House on Wednesday,” he said.
Now in his second season in Swindon kevlars, Musielak has established himself as a key rider within the squad. And the team’s number five insists he is loving his time at the Wiltshire club.
“It’s really good to be racing here and I’m enjoying racing for Swindon,” Musielak said.
“The team is very similar to last season and that really helps as well.
“Everyone is doing their jobs, and getting on really well which is how it should be.
“We are all having fun and this is the most important thing,” he added.
