ON-THE-WHISTLE MATCH REPORT: Swindon 0-1 Bolton

Swindon's less-than-impressive league form continued as a Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill own goal consigned them to their fourth home league loss on the trot.

The goal came just five minutes from time. Substitute Keshi Anderson, who was a Swindon target over the summer, was brilliantly denied by Lawrence Vigouroux who had a fantastic game, but the ball struck Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and crept into the back of the net.

Swindon's misery was compounded in the 90th minute when Raphael Branco was sent off for a petulant elbow.

Bolton were worthy of their win, but Vigouroux did not deserve to be on the losing side as the Man of the Match made a string of top saves.

With nine minutes played ex-Wolves winger James Henry latched onto a loose backpass by Yaser Kasim and found himself clear of the Swindon defence, but could only manage a shot wide from the edge of the box with his lef foot.

In the second half, Zach Clough's was put through but Vigouroux brilliantly denied the highly-rated youngster with his feet.

Vigouroux was at it again just a few minutes later. Jamie Proctor, who came on as a second-half sub, this time was fed, but the Swindon goalkeeper excellently palmed away the shot on goal.

Clough also had a free-kick tipped over the bar by Vigouroux earlier on in the second period.

Swindon have just one league win from their last eight now and have lost their last four domestic matches at the County Ground, following defeats to Bury, Bristol Rovers and Northampton in earlier weeks.

Throughout, Swindon were limited to half-chances, as they failed to unlock the resilient Bolton back line.

On more than one occasion Town looked to have found the winning formula via shifting the ball to Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill but a number of his low crosses were cleared out for a corner while Luke Norris, who is yet to score since signing from Gillingham, was waiting to pounce.

Other than that. all the Robins could muster were ambitious long rangers from Sean Murray while Nathan Delfouneso back heeled across goal but Bolton were equal to it.
