We recommend
Lawrence Vigouroux: Southend were not exactly a major threat in front of goal however at one stage Lawrence Vigouroux had to make a fantastic double save and later on he tipped a Zavon Hines effort onto the post. Awarded man-of-the-match by sponsors - 8
Darnell Furlong: Did well enough in his final game in a Swindon shirt with a solid last shift as Swindon's right-back - 6
Lloyd Jones: The only one of Swindon's three loanees that will still be employed by the club for Saturday's match against Shrewsbury, the Liverpool defender impressed at centre back - 7
Raphael Branco: He was not given the official man-of-the-match award however the much-maligned Brazilian was the best player on the park on Saturday, making a number of crucial interceptions and dominant in the air. Was carded for fouling Nile Ranger though - 8
James Brophy: The left-back who has battled against breathing problems and most recently a hamstring issue this season took a while to grow into the game but improved in the second half - 7
Anton Rodgers: Rodgers, who had his dad Brendan sat watching in the stands was deployed in the holding role in Swindon's 4-4-2 diamond and did not do too much wrong, but not a great deal right either - 5
Conor Thomas (replaced by Sean Murray '70): Thomas was used as Michael Doughty's partner in the heart of the Robins' midfield and the summer signing from Coventry struggled to make an impact - 5
Michael Doughty: Town fans were upset to hear that the news that the important midfielder will be returning to parent club QPR, but the 24-year-old has not quite been the same since his appendix operation and hit quite a lot of passes wayward on Saturday, too - 6
Johnny Goddard (replaced by Jermaine Hylton '83): In his first season as a professional Goddard has been played all over the midfield. Goddard was in his natural number ten role against Southend but never really got a foothold on the contest - 6
Jon Obika: Captain for the day Jon Obika was let down by a lack of sufficient survice. Did come close with a shot that went narrowly wide and a few that were well held by Southend's goalkeeper though - 6
Luke Norris: Norris suffered much like his fellow striker Obika and did not really ever get a sniff at goal, apart from a first-half hit that went a fair bit over the bar - 5
Substitutes:
Sean Murray (on for Thomas '70): Murray looked lively when he came on and had inspiration to find the killer pass that Swindon so desperately needed, might have managed it with more minutes on the pitch - 6
Jermaine Hylton (on for Goddard '83): The young striker was all over the shop for the ten minutes (three minutes of stoppage time) he was on for, having a number of efforts on goal. Probably would have scored if he had more time - 7
