PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town 2-4 Sheffield United

Swindon Town flirted with completing a brilliant comeback on Tuesday night but ended up falling to a 4-2 defeat to Sheffield United. Benjamin Wills gives his player ratings from the Robins' third straight loss.

Will Henry: Will Henry deputised in goal due to Lawrence Vigouroux's apparent lack of commitment to the relegation cause but it was a tough night for Will. Four goals conceded, one of him via a poor pass from himself and, unfortunately for him, that goal was the one that made it 3-2 to United after Swindon fought back from 2-0 down - 4

Nathan Thompson: Nathan Thompson had a difficult night as captain but had sections of good defending and, as ever, he tried his utmost to get attacks going too - 5

Raphael Branco: Branco was left for dead in the lead up to Sheffield United's second goal which, sadly, was the contribution everyone will remember from the match - 4

Dion Conroy: Conroy, on only his third start in a Swindon shirt, impressed both defensively and offensively as he came close with headers from a couple of corners - 6

Fankaty Dabo: The returning Dabo impressed for the first half an hour or so but ruined all his good work with a terrible back pass that led to the opening goal. Recovered later with a number of decent crosses, but the damage was done - 5

Rohan Ince: Not one of his more dominant midfield displays, but that does not mean he was poor, just not as effective as usual - 6

Charlie Colkett: Colkett scored his first Swindon Town goal, and in some style, as his long-range piledriver flew into the top corner to get the Robins back into the game. Gave away the penalty for the fourth goal but Town were chasing the game by that point anyway and he is by no means a defensive player - 7

Ben Gladwin (replaced by Norris '84): If there's one thing Ben Gladwin knows: it's how to score great goals at home to Sheffield United. Great finish but did not do a great deal else, and was the only member of the Swindon line-up replaced - 6

Johnny Goddard: Deployed on the right wing due to James Brophy also being named among the players not willing to fight for club. Goddard put in a solid shift in an unfamiliar position. Given man-of-the-match by sponsors - 6

Nicky Ajose: Not one of Ajose's best nights. The Charlton loanee did not get many shots on goal and also had a header chalked off for offside when Jon Obika's header that led to Ajose's may have been going in anyway - 5

Jon Obika: Swindon's false nine was not able to bring others into play by his usual top level knock-downs and methods of creating space as Swindon were limited to, albeit very good, long shots on goal for most of the night - 5

Substitutes:

Luke Norris (on for Gladwin '84): Norris was unable to make a telling contribution during his brief spell on the pitch - 5
