PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town (2) v (0) Oldham Athletic

SWINDON TOWN made it seven league wins in a row after wrapping up a deserved two-nil victory over Oldham Athletic at the County Ground this afternoon. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins player ratings following the result.

GK: Steven Benda (6)

Was very poor with his distribution in the first-half often playing Swindon into danger with his inability to find a teammate with his goal-kicks. Pulled off a brilliant diving save in the 23rd minute to deny Stott from range.

RB: Paul Caddis (7)

Provided a valuable outlet in attack often supporting Woolery with overlapping runs as Town attempted to widen their play. Defended well and was rarely caught out of position.

CB: Mathieu Baudry © (7)

Dealt with the aerial threat posed by Oldham well in the first-half. Used his strength to nullify the threat posed by Mohammed Maouche throughout the game and did well to help Swindon secure another cleansheet.

CB: Zeki Fryers (7.5)

Produced a solid display at the heart of the Swindon defence. Used his pace to pick up long balls over the top and had great awareness to frequently be the last line of defence putting in some strong challenges to dispossess the Oldham attackers.

LB: Rob Hunt (7)

Has enjoyed a run of games playing at left-back and was impressive once again. Moved the ball quickly from the full-back position allowing Swindon to break quickly and was resolute with his defending in one-v-one situations.

CM: Anthony Grant (8)

Produced the usual solid performance that Swindon fans have come to expect from him. Popped up all over the pitch and was influential in winning the ball back in key areas when Oldham broke with pace. Did the simple things well in attack to help create openings for Town and was a powerful runner with the ball.

CM: Michael Doughty (7.5)

Was the main link between defence and attack for Swindon and produced a strong performance. Found space well in key attacking areas and was accurate with his passing to create openings for Town’s attackers. Did his defensive duties well to help Swindon to another cleansheet.

RM: Kaiyne Woolery (7)

Used his pace well throughout the match to get on the outside of the Oldham full-back and deliver some dangerous balls into the box. Was at times caught in two minds with his decision making but scored Swindon’s opening goal with a powerful finish across the face of goal. A good performance from Woolery.

LM: Diallang Jaiyesimi (6.5)

Caused problems all afternoon for the opposition defenders with his quick footwork creating space on the wings. Delivered some very good crosses into the box but was let down by a lack of movement inside the opposition area.

ST: Eoin Doyle (7.5)

Endured a quiet first-half rarely getting a touch of the ball as Swindon opted to play down the wings instead of through the middle. Was more active in the second passage of play and took his chance from the edge of the box well to score his 19th goal of the season and wrap up the points for Town.

ST: Jerry Yates (7)

Switched between playing through the middle and on the wing as Swindon shuffled formation mid-game. Ran himself into the ground with his work rate and probably deserved a goal to show for his efforts. Tried to get on the end of a few decent deliveries into the Oldham box but couldn’t quite get the golden touch to put the ball into the net.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Keshi Anderson (7)

Played well on his return from injury and made a positive difference when he came on. Popped up in some key areas of the pitch and was smart in his play to create space for himself when in possession.

Danny Rose (N/A)

Introduced with not long left of the game and did a soli job in midfield.

Lloyd Isgrove (N/A)

Came off the bench in added-on time to mark his return from injury.
