PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town 3-2 Port Vale
Swindon came through a five-goal game against Port Vale on Saturday with all three points and Benjamin Wills was there to rank the men in red.
Reice Charles-Cook: Really poor day at the office for goalkeeper Charles-Cook. Clearly a talented stopper but having a lot of bother with set pieces at the moment and looks bereft of confidence from dead ball situations - 3
Ben Purkiss: Continues to grow as a centre-back. No-one in a red shirt looked comfortable during a set-piece but they were not troubled much from open play - 5
Chris Robertson: In for the injured Olly Lancashire and did as well as anyone else in the back three during open play - 5
Rollin Menayese: Improving as he gets more used to regular first-team football - 5
Kyle Knoyle: Decent again and assisted the winning goal. Has impressed in all three games Kellan Gordon has been forced to sit out, David Flitcroft has a selection headache at right wing-back next week and beyond - 6
Timi Elsnik (replaced by James Dunne '64): Not actually his best game in a Swindon shirt and came off with a twinge, but Swindon looked so much worse when he was off the pitch, making his performance look better - 7
Ollie Banks: Again, not one of Banks' best outings since his January arrival. His long-range efforts were all off the mark and was not able to be the creative lynchpin once Elsnik had gone off - 5
Matt Taylor: Another age-defying performance from the 36-year-old. Assisted the first goal, although his set-pieces were not to their usual standard - 7
Keshi Anderson (replaced by Paul Mullin '80): Another one that was surprisingly off-colour, made worse by the fact his replacement scored the winning goal - 4
Luke Norris (replaced by Kaiyne Woolery '64): Not quite back to his best but an improvement on recent weeks, assisted the second goal - 6
Marc Richards: Only had two good chances and he gobbled them both up, a real astute signing by Swindon, he has scored seven goals in seven games for Town now. Won the man-of-the-match award from sponsors - 8
Substitutes:
James Dunne: Offered nothing during his 25 minutes, 23 of them were truly abject from everyone in red, but him replacing Elsnik is the personification of the Swindon midfield going to pot - 3
Kaiyne Woolery: Had a shot within seconds of his introduction and that was all he could manage - 4
Paul Mullin: Only got 10 minutes plus stoppages and therefore did not do a great deal aside from scoring the crucial match winner - 6
