Website 0330 002 1993Garner on January transfer window:
"As things stand we are still under the transfer embargo and we can't pay any transfer fee as things stand. We are restricted but whether that will change before or in January I don't know and we will be looking at the parameters we are working within. Whatever they are we will do our best in terms of recruitment, we want to improve the squad, we do that on a weekly basis but the other way is to recruit and add. We would like to add both in terms of quality and character and we will be doing our best to do that in January."
Garner on his dream FA Cup draw:
"For me personally I would love to go back to Crystal Palace but it is about the club and the best possible draw for the club is a top Premier League team away from home because it's a fantastic day out for supporters and it is also financially the biggest draw for the club. I just want the best for the club, we can't control what we get but I'm sure supporters will have their fingers crossed."
Garner on team spirit amongst players:
"It is a huge part in what we have been able to do this season and they are a really good group. From our perspective as staff they are great to work with and we really enjoy working with these players every day. They are hungry to learn, they want to do well and are very close-knit. The bonds that they form off the pitch and in the dressing room it gives you that extra 5-10% on the pitch sometimes and that is mainly down to them. The way they have come together will stand us in good stead."
Garner on players fitness levels:
"A lot of work has been done considering we didn't have a pre-season and we had two weeks with the players who were here and some players had no pre-season. We have worked really hard with players on the pitch, in the gym, with pre-hab, with every aspect of performance to get the players in the best possible physical and mental condition. They know they are in a good place, their bodies are robust and that allows them to be confident and express themselves in the game.
"A lot of work has gone into that across the staff at the club and the players have bought into that and massive credit to them for their attitude and application all the way through. You can see that on the pitch with the amount of late goals we score and the way we keep going. Even Saturday we were defending at the end but we still looked fit, strong and had an intensity to our play."
Garner on selection for Orient:
"I always consider making changes and it is always about what is right for the next game. I have a team in mind for tomorrow and also a team in mind for Saturday but that is dependant on performances. We have an overall plan but it is down to players."
Garner on Leyton Orient
"They are a team that punish mistakes and are ruthless. They press well and our concentration levels need to be very high. It will be similar to Sutton away in the way that we deal with set-pieces but we have the capability to go away and win. We have done well with set-pieces and we need to be competitive and on the front foot."
Garner on AFCON Cup"
"We will see if Jojo is called up but I would expect he is away for the first round of the FA CUp."
Garner on transfers:
"We are discussing with the EFL the embargo regulations and the number of players we can have. We have a little bit of space in the squad as things stand. If we want to go beyond that then we have to move some players out."
Garner on injuries:
"We have a few bumps and bruises but I'm hoping we don't have any out for tomorrow and it should hopefully be the same for Walsall."
Garner on 8-win club record:
"I didn't realise we held that club record. I knew we were doing well away from home but we don't tend to focus on those things. At the moment we just want to keep going as we are."
Garner on Leyton Orient:
"They had a fantastic cup result on Saturday and they are a good side who are really well organised. They press really well and pose a threat from set plays. They had some good investment in the summer and we know it will be a tough game but we go there with momentum. Harry Smith has had a really good season so far and we know what he's about and what his strengths are. As always we have to make sure our performance levels are right."
Garner on Walsall victory:
"I'm really pleased with Tyreece and Kaine and they have done a lot of work in the training ground and also off the pitch in what it means to be a professional. We are really pleased with the progress both of those players have made this season."
Garner on FA Cup draw:
"I haven't thought about the draw tonight. We have just been working on Leyton Orient preparations. It's been a long time since this club made it into round 3 and we will see who we pull out this evening."
