1:07PM

That concludes today's press conference.

1:07PM

Sheridan on staying till end of the season:

"We will know the outcome of this season in the next four or five games.

I'm going into the next few games thinking we are going to win and I've made it clear to the players that I am going to keep working as hard as I can.

Results will hopefully resolve the situation and we will get out of this position.

That's all I'm focused on."

1:05PM

Sheridan on his decision to stay at Swindon:

"Listen at the end of the day results are not good enough and I have seen many managers lose their jobs.

Whilst I'm here I've got to concentrate and I've made a decision to stick and fight to keep this team up.

We've still got 33 points to play for. I'm not going to say we can stay up but I am positive we can, however we need to do a lot better.

I totally accept the fans view but I am here and that is the decision that has been made."

1:03PM

Sheridan on leaders in squad:

"You can be a lead by shouting the most, dominating the game, your physicality on the pitch, so there are all different ways to be a leader.

I think in today's football, footballers are quieter and I don't want to go on about football in my day.

Football is different today, we have good players but they can be more vocal without letting things go by.

Don't act when things have happened, act before it."

1:01PM

Sheridan on lack of improvement in defence:

"We can only show goals to players and work with them in training of how they need to improvement but it all comes down to when they step on the pitch.

Once you go out there you need to see things quicker than what we have been doing. Individuals need to work hard, defend with a purpose of not wanting the opposition to score a goal.

The goals we concede are soft and they are goals we can avoid. We put ourselves in sticky situations.

You have to go on the pitch focused and all players have different strengths and weaknesses. If you're not quick and not good at running with the ball then take control of it and move it quickly.

Don't put the ball in an area where you're going to have to defend.

Players get told before they go out on the pitch who they are working and that is something they should take out onto the pitch."

12:58PM

Sheridan on Taylor Curran:

"He's done well when coming on in games and when you're conceding goals like we have done he is a defender that should be looking to play.

He wants to be in the team and I need to look at what areas we can be stronger in."

12:50PM

Sheridan on injuries:

"Hallam Hope has trained today and Jonathan Grounds has a good chance of playing.

We will just see what squad travels up."

12:49PM

Sheridan on Lee Camp:

"He's come in and been training today.

He's got all the attributes we need and is very experienced. Hopefully he can speak to the defence in front of him and organising people."

12:47PM

Sheridan on team selection:

"I'm trying to get a shape to stop us conceding.

I'm going to put a team out that will hopefully start winning football matches. The results haven't been going our way.

We can cut these things out but everything seems to go against you when you're in this position.

We need to make our own luck and be competitive."

12:46PM

Sheridan on Fleetwood:

"He has a settled side and are on a good run. They've won their last few games and are very competitive with some good players in the team.

It will be a tough game but we can't focus on the opposition too much because we need to take care of our own game.

12:45PM

Sheridan on training this week:

"We know what is at stake and the importance of winning games.

We've worked hard on how we will play Saturday and will now take this into the game.

We need to be stronger defensively and we have to go out to put the opposition on the back-foot.

I think we have to tighten up the defence because that is our main concern. We need to go into games positive and it's important we take the game to them."

12:43PM

John Sheridan has now joined us.

12:40PM

Akin Odimayo has now left us. John Sheridan will join us shortly.

12:40PM

Odimayo on his place in the team:

"It happens in football coming in and out of the team.

Things change in football but that's just part and parcel of it.

You've just got to trust the manager and it's an area we are looking to improve.

I play with Taylor Curran quite a lot but the defence is interchanging."

12:37PM

Odimayo on his position:

"Wherever I'm needed I'm happy to play. Centre-back is my more natural position but I'm happy to play wherever I am needed.

Obviously it has been a big introduction into men's football this season and hopefully I can improve on my own performances."

12:35PM

Odimayo on upcoming games:

"When we have time to train we seem to come out of that firing out the blocks.

We've been working on starting sharper and they are really important for us.

If we can stay solid at the start of the game then that gives us something to build on.

Coming from behind puts on the back-foot straightaway."

12:34PM

Odimayo on week's training:

"It's been a good week of training, we have had time to work on things.

It's been good for us this week and have got a few things nailed down."

12:33PM

Akin Odimayo has now joined us.

12:33PM

We are in the zoom call and will be underway shortly.

12:30PM

The players have returned in from training and we are ready to go.
