Website 0330 002 1993Caddis on Oxford rivalry:
"I didn't know it had been 19 years since we last beat Oxford."
"The one thing I have realised is that this derby doesn't happen."
"We have to focus on this game as three points but we are aware of what it means."
"I played in a Celtic v Rangers derby and I think having no fans might make you approach the game with a clearer mind."
Caddis on fans coming back:
"We had fans away to Blackpool and that did make a bit of an atmosphere."
"Some fans is better than nothing and I hate not having fans here."
"We are in a privileged position to still be doing our job and I am desperate to have fans back."
Caddis on Oxford in 2011 and 2012:
"They weren't great results but we went up that year and they didn't."
"It's a massive game but we have to look at it like it's three points."
"I've passed the message on to the boys that this is an important game."
Caddis on playing in midfield:
"I did it in my first few games when I joined here."
"I played in that role for 18 months in the Championship so I can play there but haven't done so for a few years."
Caddis on Tuesday defeat:
"My role was to do a job in midfield."
"It was a nip and tuck game and they got more gradually up the pitch in the last 15 minutes."
"We're going through a tough time and we take the criticism."
"It's only the players that can change that and we are fully focused on doing so."
Paul Caddis has now joined us.
John Sheridan has now left. Paul Caddis will join us next.
Sheridan on approach to Oxford game:
"I've managed a few derbies and I realise how big this match is."
"All derbies are important because you want to get one over on your closest rivals.
"The referee needs to manage this properly and I've been involved in a lot of them."
"This derby match is all about the supporters."
"I'm gutted we can't have supporters and usually the atmosphere is magnificent."
Sheridan on the match:
"Derbies are usually very tight and competitive.
"It's about getting a good result for the supporters.
"I'm an outsider but I know this is a massive game and we go there wanting a positive result.
"That would give us and the supporters a massive boost.
Sheridan on Oxford:
"Oxford are technically a very good team."
"They are in a similar position to us and we have to go to Oxford to get the win."
"Karl is a quality coach and puts out good sides."
"We want to go there with confidence and feel as though we can go get something."
"They've got good players and take care of the ball. I think they will get out the relegation zone and likewise I think we will as well."
"This game is about bragging rights."
Sheridan on injuries:
"Jonny Smith is with the physio and we are waiting to see."
"Some players are getting back out on the pitch and that's positive.
"Tyler Smith and Jaiyesimi will be back together and that will make us stronger."
"Jordan Lyden isn't ready yet."
Sheridan on formations ??:
"I haven't had the full squad to pick from and we are missing some big players."
"I'm just trying to pick a team that will get a result.
"You can talk about formations all you want but this is more about adjusting and changing when in games.
"Whilst I've got injuries I pick the best team available."
Sheridan on settling in: "I'm slowly settling in and wish the results had been better but I'm pleased with the performances.
"We have to battle and this is a strong league. If you want to compete in it then you have to do consistently better.
"Other than Accrington I'm pleased and we should have more points.
"We've got to be harder to beat and we have started to show that.
"I feel we have to work defensively but at the same time try and be focused when we turn the ball over and still create chances to win games."
We are inside the ground and now waiting for John Sheridan to join us.
Oxford started the season dreadfully but have seen a recent upturn in fortunes and remain unbeaten over their last two matches.
Swindon have taken points away from just two of their past five league fixtures, beating Bristol Rovers and drawing with Shrewsbury whilst also losing to Plymouth, Accrington Stanley and Lincoln.
But more importantly than historic records, let’s take a look at the recent form of both teams coming into this hotly anticipated weekend clash.
Whereas Oxford boast the better record over recent times having inflicted defeat against Swindon seven times since then.
So whilst we’ve got time to spare, let’s take a look at the two sides’ head-to-head record.
It’s glum reading for Swindon fans with the Robins having last tasted League victory against Oxford back in March 2001.
Swindon Town manager John Sheridan will be joining us at 1.45pm to give us his thoughts ahead of the fixture with Paul Caddis set to follow afterwards.
