Website 0330 002 1993That concludes today's press conference we will right everything up.
Tyler Smith on relegation battle:
We aren't really seeing it like that. We know that a couple of wins and we will shoot up the table.
Tyler Smith on competition for places:
It's important because it makes me perform better and I'm all for it because it makes me a better player. I could see myself linking up with DJ so it works perfectly.
Tyler Smith on chances created:
We know we need to creating chances. I need to be ready in the box and have to be alive in the box when the ball is in that area to be the first one to tap home. Hopefully we can take three points tomorrow.
Tyler Smith on Charlton:
We're going to be right at it tomorrow and Charlton better be ready. We've had a good week and we need to concentrate on what we are trying to do. It's down to us players on the pitch to get the results.
Tyler Smith on Doncaster defeat:
We're disappointed not to come away with anything but we can take positives from the performance.
It's hard when we are playing well and not getting results but we know as a team when we get one win more will then follow.
John Sheridan has now left us, Tyler Smith has joined us...
Sheridan on needing to change tactics:
It's down to your personnel and what individuals you have available. People have to adapt and adjust.
If you look at Portsmouth for example they don't have the best players but are compact and as a unit have one of the best teams in the league.
It's not about formations as much it is about adjusting to the in-game situation.
Sheridan on passion to succeed at Swindon:
I've got fire in me and I want to do well here with the opportunity I have been given. It's definitely not good enough results wise but I have hope things will change.
Sheridan on time at Swindon:
I'm not being disrespectful but if I was winning all the time then I wouldn't be at Swindon. I've done really well at clubs and have done poor at clubs. Every manager wants to win and there is no better feeling as a manager when you win. As a manger you get judged on your results and I totally understand it is about results. I'm here to keep Swindon in this division and it is a very very tough league but it is also very evenly matched.
Sheridan on Charlton:
They are a very good team. They've got some good players and good experience in the team. We're at home though and Lee Bowyer will be expecting a hard game and hopefully we can give them one.
Sheridan on transfers:
There is funds there and I've made it clear to Paul what we need. Bringing players in is definitely something we have to do.
Sheridan on transfers:
I've spoke to Paul and feel I know what we need in the transfer window to make us stronger. We have three or four games until we can bring players in.
Sheridan on Brett Pitman:
He's only been training since last week and will be pushing to get back in the team. Brett is another body who is coming back and we need goals in the team.
Sheridan on formations:
I'll always try and win the game first and foremost. I'll never play to defend or nick a draw. Systems change very two minutes in a game. It's important we get further up the pitch and the distances between players on the pitch has to be better. We need to always be switched and more than ever when we are in possession.
Sheridan on conceding goals:
As a manager you can't do much about the manner in which we concede. We nullified Doncaster to very little when players stayed in position and stuck to their job description. Sometimes you have to do things that make you harder to beat. The two goals came from us not through Doncaster. They are the things we need to cut out our games.
Sheridan on plan to turn things around:
We need to stop conceding goals and take chances when they come our way.
I'm pleased with the way we are playing. If we look at Lincoln then we definitely should've took something out of that game. The main objective is to get points if we want to stay in this division.
I've got to stay positive and I'm going to stay that way. The manner of the goals we concede is something we have to cut out.
Sheridan on injuries:
Rob Hunt is back in the squad now and Joel Grant is back running.
Apart from that everyone from Tuesday is available.
Jordan Lyden is running and looking likely to be fit for Boxing Day.
John Sheridan has now joined us...
We're inside the County Ground and waiting for John Sheridan to join us.
