PREVIEW: Northampton Town vs Swindon Town

Strike pair Luke Norris and Jon Obika both need to be monitored before being given the go-ahead for Swindon's match at Northampton on Tuesday.

Norris "felt something" when he kicked a ball in the warm-up to the Robins' 1-0 loss at Bury which ruled him out of the defeat not long before kick-off.

The former Gillingham striker underwent a scan on his groin instead of training on Thursday and the club are hoping it's only a minor injury for the forward.

Jon Obika has been plagued with injury throughout the season but got 30 minutes as a substitute on Saturday. Head coach Luke Williams, who is now predominantly in charge of team selection and tactics again, has said there is a "good chance" that the ex-Tottenham forward will start at Sixfields.

He did add, however, that he needs to be "100 per cent sure" before making a decision on whether to play the 26-year-old from the beginning.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewilll, Ellis Iandolo and Brad Barry are all expected to miss Tuesday night's game but they are "doing well" and should be back for selection in the not-too-distant future.

Raphael Branco is one yellow card away from his tenth of the season, which will see him suspended for two matches.

Following the weekend, Swindon have now lost four on the bounce while Northampton are currently on a run of two wins from their last three.

The last two times the Cobblers were on such a run though they followed it up with first a four-match losing streak and then five straight losses.

Swindon have not played Northampton at Sixfields since a famous win in 2011 that saw then manager Paolo Di Canio sprint the length of the pitch to celebrate with the away supporters after a 90th-minute winner in a 2-1 Robins win.
