PREVIEW: Swindon Town v Bolton Wanderers
Both Swindon and Bolton go into Saturday afternoon's meeting in abject domestic form but will have spirits raised by midweek EFL Trophy wins.
Swindon beat fierce rivals Oxford 3-1 on penalties after drawing 0-0 in the regularion 90 minutes while Bolton secured a 1-0 win over League Two Blackpool thanks to Sammy Ameobi's solitary strike.
Prior to the EFL Trophy matches, Bolton were without a win in seven league matches and Swindon find themselves in not-too-dissimilar situation, however they have managed one victory, a 2-0 triumph of Oldham, in their last seven league games.
In terms of injury news, Liverpool loanee Lloyd Jones and wing-back Brad Barry are both unavailable for Bolton's visit with manager Luke Williams saying Saturday's game has come "too soon" for the pair.
Michael Doughty's appendicitis has not yet subsided either so he, too, will be unavailable.
Bolton on the other hand will be without left-back Dean Moxey due to a groin injury and fellow full-back Lewis Buxton, who has missed the last two games with a knee problem, will be sat on the sidelines again come one o'clock on Saturday and Chris Taylor still has a virus so is unlikely to make the trip down to the County Ground.
Swindon have not played Bolton since the 1999-2000 Division One season that ended with Bolton making the play-offs while Town were relegated. The Wanderers beat Town 4-0 at the County Ground that year and won 2-0 in Lancashire.
Town have not won against Bolton in the league since a 2-0 win in 1987 with Steve "Chalky" White and a Mark Jones penalty providing the goals on that occasion.
