PREVIEW: Swindon Town v Shrewsbury Town

Swindon Town host Shrewsbury Town on Saturday afternoon in what is the first so-called 'six-pointer' of the season.

The Robins are 19th in League One, three points clear of the relegation places and four points adrift of 23rd-placed Shrewsbury and this game between the two sides will help decipher which one is more likely to drop down to League Two come May.

Nathan Thompson and Yaser Kasim both took part in Thursday's training session but first-team coach Ross Embleton said it was too early to say whether the pair will be fit for Saturday's match.

Likewise, Ellis Iandolo has not recovered at quite the speed first anticipated and he is a doubt as well.

It is much the same story for Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill who is still struggling with an ankle problem that he picked up in the 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town and he too is unavailable for the visit of Shrewsbury.

Everyone else though is fit, including Jon Obika and James Brophy who have had numerous injuries throughout this campaign.

Town will be reeling from the loss of Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty though who had their loans at the club terminated by Queens Park Rangers on Monday.

At the time of writing, no-one has been signed as a replacement so Swindon will have to deal with what they have got at right-back and centre midfield.
