PREVIEW: Swindon Town vs Port Vale

Swindon go into another home game on the back of defeat, but do have the chance to win their fifth-straight match at the County Ground.

In Swindon's last four home matches, they have achieved wins against Notts County and Forest Green (both 1-0), before the 4-3 win over Crewe and another 1-0, against Mansfield, last weekend. They lost 3-2 at Wycombe in midweek, however.

Town will be without Matt Preston again and potentially for a significant amount of time as the defender is currently struggling with a knee injury.

Winger Kellan Gordon will be sitting out the last of his three-match ban and will therefore not be available for selection until Swindon's next match.

Midfielder Amine Linganzi continues to be monitored as closes in on a return to first-team action.

Port Vale, who were relegated from League One last season as well as Swindon, are currently struggling in a lower division as well, as they currently occupy 19th in the table and have not won in the league in 2018.

Their last result was a 5-1 defeat at Cheltenham Town and their last away win was back on December 16, when they beat Carlisle.

Swindon beat Port Vale 3-0 at Vale Park earlier on this season thanks to goals from Matt Taylor, Paul Mullin and Gordon.
