Race preview: Robins eye play-off position ahead of Coventry clash

Swindon Robins can move back into the Elite League play-off places when Alun Rossiter's men travel to Coventry tonight - race tapes up at 7.30.

The M&S Van Rental Robins currently sit in fifth place, joint on points with Poole, but a minimum of a consolation league point at Brandon would see them leapfrog the reigning Champions into the top four.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter says it's important his side build on last Thursday's 52-38 home victory over King's Lynn to bolster their play-off bid.

"We've got a fair amount of away meetings still to come and we need to pick some points up on the road," Rossiter said.

"We could do with following up a good win at home to King's Lynn by getting something at Coventry.

"We won there earlier on in the season and our boys seem to go well at Brandon so hopefully they can put in another good performance and get some more points too."

Flying Aussie Josh Grajczonek is rewarded for his fine form with a move back up to the heat-leader positions while Justin Sedgmen reverts back to a second string role.

Meanwhile, the Robins have drafted in Peterborough and Birmingham racer Tom Perry to guest for injured reserve Stefan Nielsen.
