RIDER RATINGS: Swindon Robins (46) v (44) Wolverhampton Wolves

SWINDON ROBINS left it late against the Wolverhampton Wolves as Jason Doyle and Tobiasz Musielak produced stunning speedway to snatch victory in heat fifteen on what was a sensational night of jet-fueled action at the Abbey Stadium. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins rider ratings in the aftermath of victory.

1. Jason Doyle (C) (9.5)
Slow out the gates in heat one and couldn’t find enough speed to overtake, had to settle for third. Improved with a second place in his next ride after getting past Howarth early on but couldn’t chase down Masters. Earned his first win of the night in heat ten after gating superbly and never looked back. Produced a true captains performance in the final heat of the night to snatch victory for Swindon. A good evening for the skipper.

2. Adam Ellis (6)
In his first meeting back from injury, Ellis endured a mixed evening. Had to ride smartly for second place in his first outing but lacked the pace to push Thorsell. Struggled in his next outing and couldn’t mount a challenge on Howarth and finished last. Was excluded in heat eight after touching the tapes but made up for it after helping to secure a crucial race maximum for Swindon in heat ten. Finished his evening on 4+1.

3. Tobiasz Musielak (9)

Excluded in his first ride after going down of his own accord but returned to winning ways in heat five after partnering Jensen to Swindon’s first 5-1 of the night. Enjoyed another win in heat nine but Swindon failed to make an impact on the scoreline as Jensen finished at the back. Produced the ride of the night in the final race of the evening to swoop past Thorsell and bag Swindon three league points. A great return from injury for the Pole.

4. Rasmus Jensen (7.5)

Sluggish out the gates in heat three but made amends by getting up the inside of Schlein when exiting the fourth corner on the first lap. Went one better in his next ride to take an easy win and earn Swindon their first heat maximum of the night. Failed to pick up a point in his next outing but not for a lack of trying. Score a respectable eight points.

5. Troy Batchelor (7)

Entertained the crowd when caught up in a hard tussle against Masters in heat four but got out of shape on the third bend of lap three and had to settle for second. Took an easy victory in heat seven to narrow Wolverhampton’s lead before finishing with a second and a last place in his final two rides.

6. Ellis Perks (2.5)

Tried hard all evening but just couldn’t find the speed needed to challenge often enough in races. Scored just two points from five rides but will undoubtedly bounce back.

7. Claus Vissing (1.5)

Scored just one point from three rides and looked short of speed all evening. Has struggled with engine problems lately, but Vissing must start improving or face being cut from the team.
