Swindon Speedway known as Swindon Robins
Abbey Stadium, Lady Lane, Blunsdon, Swindon, Wiltshire,
0700 392 12351. Jason Doyle (C) (8.45)
Gated and went in his first race to help claim Swindon an opening heat 5-1. Replicated the same performance with a big win in heat six after hitting the front early on. Finished his evening with back-to-back heat wins in both ten and thirteen, with the latter proving to be one of the races of the night after impressive team riding from Doyle and Batchelor secured victory for the Robins.
2. Adam Ellis N/A (RR)
3. Tobiasz Musielak (7)
Bounced back from injury with an easy win in heat three after getting off the line perfectly and never looked back. Got all out of shape in the opening corner of his next ride and couldn’t take anything from the race. Had mixed fortunes in the later stages of the meeting taking the win in heat eight before being excluded after receiving a second warning at the start line in his final ride.
4. Rasmus Jensen (8)
Chased hard to pass Thorsell in heat three but couldn’t get past the Swedish racer despite trying everything. Followed up with a strong ride in his next outing to extend Swindon’s lead. Looked comfortable in heat 6 after gating well but was shunted to the back after going too wide in his chase of Masters and subsequently finished last. Finished the evening with twelve points to his name.
5. Troy Batchelor (9.5)
Was chased hard by Becker in heat four but managed to cling on for victory despite looking out of shape at one stage. Rode smartly to limit the danger of Morris and guide Swindon towards yet another 5-1 maximum in heat 7. Looked super quick all evening and appeared to excel in all areas of his speedway. Top scored for Swindon with 13+3.
6. Ellis Perks (9)
Pushed Luke Becker hard in his first ride but couldn’t quite get the better of the American and had to settle for 2nd. Sensational gating in heat 7 saw Perks hit the front and stay there after being protected well by his teammate Batchelor. Rode extremely hard all evening and scored a total of 6+1 to conclude another impressive meeting for the Swindon reserve.
7. Claus Vissing (4)
Supported Doyle in heat one as Swindon rode to a heat maximum after holding off the challenge of Schlein well. Failed to get back amongst the points in his subsequent rides scoring only 3+1 from five rides.
