RIDER RATINGS: Swindon Robins 58-32 Belle Vue Aces

SWINDON ROBINS raced to their biggest league win of the season in impressive fashion after dominating proceedings at the Abbey Stadium in the 58-32 victory. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins rider ratings following the win.

1. Jason Doyle (9)

Gated well in his opening ride and never looked back after opening up a good gap between himself and Lidsey in second place. Won comfortably and looked quick out on the track. Followed up with back-to-back seconds in heats six and eight before finishing strongly with maximum points from his final two rides. A fantastic performance from the skipper.

2. Adam Ellis R/R (N/A)

3. Tobiasz Musielak (9.5)

Flew out the gates in heat three and was well ahead come the third bend of the opening lap. Looked confident out front which was good to see after returning from injury. Switched roles with Jensen in heat five to support his teammate and guide the Robins to a third heat maximum.

Had to work hard for victory in his next ride after coming under sustained pressure from Bjerre but managed to take the chequered flag as Swindon romped home their biggest league win of the season.

4. Rasmus Jensen (8.5)

Was beaten out the gates by Bewley in heat three before chasing hard and eventually getting up the inside of the Brit to earn the Robins another heat maximum.

Backed up his opening performance in his next ride after finishing ahead of Fricke and Lidsey to ensure Swindon took maximum heat points. Got into a brief tussle with Berge in heat nine but got up the inside of the Frenchman well on the second lap to secure third place. Finished his evening on 10+2 to continue his impressive high point-scoring form.

5. Troy Batchelor (9.5)

Was unlucky in his first ride after Bjerre jumped the start and the referee didn’t pull the race back. Tried everything to get past the Dane but eventually conceded defeat on the final lap.

Won his next ride easily to keep Swindon well in front on the scorecards. Secured his second win of the evening in heat eight after finish first with a strong lead on Australian counterpart Lidsey. Top scored for the Robins with 13+1 points as Swindon dominated proceedings at the Abbey Stadium.

6. Ellis Perks (8)

Was well beaten in heat one acting as rider replacement for Adam Ellis. Appeared to be lacking speed when in pursuit of Fricke and Lidsey, but bounced back well in his next ride out of gate one to earn Swindon their first 5-1 of the night.

Was back amongst the points in heat 7 but could only manage third behind Bewley. A paid win in heat fourteen saw Perks round off his evening on 6+1 after what was arguably his best performance in Robins colours.

7. Claus Vissing (7)

Backed Perks up well to keep Berge and Aarnio at bay in heat two with the latter stopping the race on lap three after falling of his own accord. Rode well to get a point in his next outing to finish in front of Berge and keep Swindon’s advantage intact. Has struggled with engine problems recently but an improved meeting for the Dane nonetheless.
